On 14 July 2011 BBC News posted an article entitled –

Spelling mistakes ‘cost millions’ in lost online sales

Written by education correspondent Sean Coughlan the article raises concerns, which I have had for a long time, about how eroding language skills are leading to serious communication breakdown.
