Resenting culture in another;
Will not accept a rational mind.
Fearing intellect in a brother;
Play mind games of evil kind.
When ethics leave all sense behind
And ego takes control.
Losing face means so much more
Than losing one’s own very soul.
I’ll make a deal
And write it down.
Then add my seal
Before the Crown.
But don’t expect me to comply
When later on my mind doth change.
Now what I said does not apply
And so to me appears so strange.
Far more than any paper scribed
A person’s word was once all.
Now neither matter very much
As to the court we will not call.
For justice wields a hefty price
The common man cannot afford.
The shameless man he knows this well
So does not dread to keep his word.
